🚀 Astro Component Starter, Jetstream, and a $4,500 community challenge

We’ve just launched two things we’re really excited about, and tomorrow we’re kicking off something even bigger.

First, the Astro Component Starter — a complete, integrated component system for Astro v6. It comes with 30+ components, a design token system, built-in documentation, a component builder, and full visual editing configuration for CloudCannon, all in a repo you own entirely. Scaffold a marketing site in minutes, then extend it however you like. No abstraction layers, no platform ceiling.

Second, Jetstream — the first full template built on the Component Starter. It’s a polished marketing and business template that demonstrates all three CloudCannon editing modes: component-based visual editing for pages, Markdown editing for blog posts, and data editing for structured content like team members. If the Component Starter shows you the pieces, Jetstream shows you what a finished site looks like.

Join us live tomorrow for the community challenge kickoff

Astro co-creator Fred K. Schott and CloudCannon co-founder Mike Neumegen will walk through the Component Starter’s architecture, show CloudCannon’s visual editing in action, and officially start the clock on a one-week community challenge with a $4,500 prize pool.

Congratulations that’s fantastic! :star_struck: Have added the event to my calendar but the 3am time slot for this isolated patch of the planet means watching to catch-up over the weekend is likely.:globe_showing_asia_australia:

Just joined the CloudCannon’s project last night and already started building with the Component Starter for the challenge! Planning to contribute by making the footer editable with CloudCannon. Thanks for creating such an excellent starter kit! :rocket:

Thanks, I was interested to participate but some reasons came front of completing the page by the end of 19 Mar.

Maybe other change and future contributions on GH.
