Deploy Previews are here

Open a pull request in GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket and CloudCannon can now build a live preview of your Site for that branch, then comment back on the PR with the build status and links so the rest of your team can find it. Developers stay in their Git workflow. Editors and managers open the preview in CloudCannon, check the real pages, and sign off before anything merges.

CloudCannon previews are fully editable Sites inside the CMS, with the same editor you use everywhere else, so a reviewer who cares about the words and images rather than the diff can approve the actual page.

The new feature ships with two automations, both optional and independent: automatic preview Sites for new PRs, and automatic comments back on the PR. Run one, both, or neither.

We’ve also added two tabs to Projects. Pull Requests shows what’s open and which previews are attached. Branches gives you the same view from the branch side. Both are free on every plan, and you decide whether your users see them.

One security note: PRs opened from a fork won’t build automatically. They get a comment explaining why, with a path to connect a Site by hand once you’ve looked the changes over.

Deploy Previews are available on Team plans and above. To switch them on, open a Project, head to Project Settings, and find the Deploy Previews section.
