Problem: If you’re anything like me you have
-thousand tabs in your browser window (or windows). Generally, the update/pull/build/push process is quick and straightforward, but occasionally there are hiccups or long delays.
Solution: A QOL improvement would be to be able to monitor the status via looking at the favicon of the tab, rather than having to switch back and forth between (potentially multiple) tabs to check the build status(es).
Rest state: the CC logo ![]()
Saving changes: the floppy disk
(or the “3d-printed save icon” as the kids say)
Building: the rotating arrows icon ![]()
When done, show the green checkmark for 5s or so ![]()
For extra credit, add left and right arrows
for the push/pull phases ![]()
This could be easily accomplished using a library. This one is the OG and is old now, and this one is newer and uses workers for backgrounded tabs.
